The Wolf Of Wall Street
Directed By: Martin Scorcese
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, Kyle Chandler, Rob Reiner, Jean Dujardin, Cristin Milioti, P.J. Bryne, Kenneth Choi

Premise: The movie, based on a true story, recounts Jordan Belfort’s rise from a corporate trainee to a smooth talking, money conning, swindler salesman, greedy stock brocker. He just doesn’t become rich, he ends up with more money than he knows what do with it and as they say, with absolute power comes absolute corruption…and debauchery…and backstabbing.

Before you watch The Wolf Of Wall Street, there are some things you should know:

  • This movie is a movie you just see once. I think that comment speaks for itself. It’s a good time and the actors look like they’re having a great time, but it’s nothing I need to see more than once and that’s because…
  • It’s not really a movie about Wall Street or greed, it’s a movie about drugs, and sex, and drugs, and nudity, and drugs, and partying, and profanity, oh, and drugs. There’s a lot of debauchery. I’m not a prude, I mean I grew up conservatively, but I’m not a prude, that being It was just A LOT..and TOO much leading to…

  • There are things in it you can’t unsee. Full frontal nudity + Jonah Hill (even if it was probably fake) is something I just can’t unsee. It will stay with me forever. And I blame Scorcese for that. I also blame him for even casting Jonah Hill…I just hate that guy. However, there are also things we never knew we needed to see thanks to…
  • Leonardo DiCaprio, [who is] absolutely fantastic. He really gives it his all. And I can only imagine how much his vocal chords hurt especially since he did a lot of yelling in Django Unchained too. He has one particular genius scene that I could basically watch over and over and over again. It’s hilarious and his comedic timing is impeccable. This scene something that you need to experience. DOn’t worry about seeing the rest of the movie,  just watch that scene.  It’s brilliant and Leo doesn’t hold back. Leo is electric giving…
  • [There was] An intoxicating vigor and vivality to the movie. Basically, it was a party vibe. Very Project X-esque only on a grander scale with higher star power. Every actor was on their game in this movie making all the debauchery look incredibly exciting and well for lack of a better word inebriating. It was basically watching a non-stop greed party each party getting more lavish, more hilarious, and more extravagant than the next.
