It’s a cute, sweet movie with an adorable cast. Though it’s nothing really to write home about, it does make me wish Greg Kinnear was my husband.

I Dont Know How She Does It

Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker, Greg Kinnear, Pierce Brosnon, Olivia Munn, Seth Meyers, Christina Hendrix.

Premise: A working mother tries to balance home life with her successful career. Though she loves both jobs equally one always seems to falter more than the other. This movie focus’ on trying to find a happy balance between satisfying ones self and satisfying your family.

My Review: First of all this movie was funny, which surprised me. Most rom-coms are more romance focused rather than comedy focused. However this movie was the opposite. It really was funny. This was thanks in part to the interview set up with hilarious one liners by Olivia Munn and Seth Meyers.

The plot was nothing new except for the twist, which is *spoiler alert* there is no twist! The characters adapted and compromised rather than change completely. They had epiphanies from the “universe” rather than from cliches from a tragedy (Life a As We Know It) or lie (The Proposal) or some kind of trickery. Everything just flowed naturally. What happened was bound to happen. It was natural and expected, but it was kind of fun watching her get there.

Sarah Jessica Parker just has this ease about her when she acts. It’s a little quirky, but it’s sweet and likable even if it’s slightly neurotic. You can’t help but root for her.

Though nothing original, this  was enjoyable. That’s more than I can say about most movies
